Controller, Finance & Banking, Accounting Manager

Overview

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller will manage the day-to-day finance operations and supervise the Accounting Specialist responsible for accounts receivable and accounts payable.

• Complete the monthly financial close process in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Analyze monthly results compared to budget and forecast
• Prepare monthly financial reports
• Manage annual budget process and create departmental budget
• Maintain balance sheet account reconciliations
• Manage accounts receivable collections and accounts payable
• Oversee annual audit and tax return preparation
• Obtain sales tax exempt certifications as necessary
• Keep fixed asset trial balances updated
• Complete annual insurance renewals
• Continuously improve processes
• Manage and develop staff
• Maintain accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• Ten years or more of related experience required
• Certified Public Accountant preferred

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at times
