JDR Recruitment are recruiting for a Credit Controller on behalf of our client

Hours of Work: 34 hours per week 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday with a 4pm finish on a Friday

The Role:

We are currently recruiting for a confident and proactive Credit Controller to join a small and friendly finance team. This is a varied role combining credit control responsibilities with some sales ledger support, offering the opportunity to work closely with both finance and sales functions.

You will take ownership of your own customer accounts, proactively chasing overdue, proforma, and invoice payments via phone and email. The role will involve maintaining strong customer relationships, carrying out credit checks, and resolving invoice or payment queries efficiently.

You will also support the wider finance function by posting daily cash receipts, assisting with cash allocation, sending customer statements, and processing occasional refunds. In addition, you will post a small number of daily sales invoices and provide support to the Accounts Manager where required.

Working within a growing business, you will have the opportunity to contribute ideas for improving processes, cash flow, and overall efficiency, while collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth sales-to-finance process.

Experience /

Skills Required:

A minimum of 2 years of experience in credit control is required

Experience chasing overdue debt and managing customer accounts

Confident and professional communication skills, particularly over the phone

Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise tasks effectively

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

Experience using finance systems and Microsoft Excel

Ability to work collaboratively with both finance and non-finance teams

Proactive and solution-focused approach
