Senior Corporate Accountant

Overview

Blue Cross of Idaho is looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant. This role offers hands‑on experience in investment accounting and reporting, tax research and preparation, compiling and reviewing financial statements, and analyzing complex financial information as requested.

This role reports to the Manager, Accounting/Finance and is located in Meridian, Idaho. Hybrid work schedule is supported.

• Support in the preparation of financial statements, insurance industry financial reports, tax filings and various other schedules and reports.
• Research and interpret accounting guidance on complex accounting and investment issues.
• Perform accounting tasks, including interpreting data for input into accounting software.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and analyze variances.
• Assist in the preparation of schedules for internal and external audits.
• Perform other duties as requested.

• 5+ years of public accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA license.

• Skill in reviewing, analyzing, and reconciling financial data.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic setting.
• Problem‑solving skills with capacity to suggest practical solutions.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities, including executive‑level presentations.
• Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Collaborative mindset and eagerness to build relationships across finance, treasury, and actuarial teams.

Estimated pay range is $78,064 to $117,095 per year, with potential for an annual incentive bonus.
