Overview

Blue Cross of Idaho is looking for a Senior Corporate Accountant. This role offers hands‑on experience in investment accounting and reporting, tax research and preparation, compiling and reviewing financial statements, and analyzing complex financial information as requested.

This role reports to the Manager, Accounting/Finance and is located in Meridian, Idaho. Hybrid work schedule is supported.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support in the preparation of financial statements, insurance industry financial reports, tax filings and various other schedules and reports.
  • Research and interpret accounting guidance on complex accounting and investment issues.
  • Perform accounting tasks, including interpreting data for input into accounting software.
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations and analyze variances.
  • Assist in the preparation of schedules for internal and external audits.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
Required Experience and Education
  • 5+ years of public accounting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA license.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated pay range is $78,064 to $117,095 per year, with potential for an annual incentive bonus. Benefits include paid time off, holidays, community service and self‑care days, medical/dental/vision/pharmacy insurance, 401(k) matching, life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability, education reimbursement, employee assistance plan, adoption assistance program, and paid family leave program.
