The Loan Officer Associate assists Loan Officers while developing skills and knowledge to become a Loan Officer in the future. The role includes online and classroom educational sessions and operational training.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in formal training programs covering lending fundamentals, loan types, credit assessment, and the mortgage approval process.
  • Train with the manager on mortgage rate sheets to learn accurate pricing and loan locking.
  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports to gain a comprehensive understanding of the mortgage process from application to closing.
  • Update loan applications, complete missing data, and maintain detailed notes in the Loan Origination System.
  • Support file setup and coordinate with processors and closers to obtain necessary documents.
  • Act as a primary contact for borrowers via phone, email, and chat, scheduling and conducting meetings to address follow‑up issues.
  • Participate in builder and realtor functions, and collaborate with Division Managers and Loan Officers on local marketing campaigns.
  • Adhere to a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English and Hindi or Punjabi preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; BA or BS preferred.
  • Mortgage or banking experience preferred.
  • Experience in articulating product or service features, benefits, and value.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Successful completion of mortgage licensing testing and appropriate state licensing as required.
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of RESPA through continuing education courses.
