Financial Analyst, Financial Advisor / Consultant
US Agriculture is an SEC-registered investment adviser that invests in and manages quality, sustainable farmland real estate across the United States for institutional investors. US Agriculture is seeking to add an Investment Analyst to our team in Carmel, Indiana. In addition to possessing curiosity, sound judgment, and a drive to succeed, the ideal candidate will have an agricultural background, a strong quantitative skill set, and a firm grasp of investment principles.
Summary:
The Investment Analyst will be an active participant of the Portfolio Management Team. Broad responsibilities include financial modeling, addressing the recurring and ad-hoc needs of investors, analyzing agriculture commodities and regions, as well as helping to support the continued growth of the firm.
Key Responsibilities:
· Qualitatively assess acquisition targets and prepare investment recommendations
· Perform research to aid the portfolio construction process and communicate findings
· Assist with client reporting, portfolio performance commentaries, and presentations materials
· Perform ad-hoc projects as assigned by Portfolio Management and Asset Management
Qualifications:
· 3 years of experience in agri-business, accounting/finance, investment management, or real estate
· Proven ability to work independently
· Possess strong knowledge base of production agriculture
· Basic understanding of GAAP accounting
· Competence in financial concepts such as IRR, NPV, and DCF modeling
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or other relevant technologies
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Attainment of or progress toward an advanced degree or certification, i.e.:
oCFA Charter, CIPM, or CAIA Charter
oMaster’s degree in relevant field (business, accounting/finance, or agriculture-equivalent)
