Duration: 6-month contract to hire
PR: $38-$42/hr
Interviews: 2 rounds, 1st virtual, 2nd onsite for shadow
Must haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or related sciences
- ASCP, AMT, NCA or equivalent certification
- Strong knowledge of hematology, chemistry, coagulation, and urinalysis
- In-depth knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures
- In-depth knowledge of specialized testing equipment and routine maintenance procedures
- 3+ years’ experience in laboratory setting
Plusses:
- Prior leadership experience
- Blood bank experience or willing to train
Insight Global is seeking a Team Lead - Medical Laboratory Scientist to support a large healthcare client in Indiana. The role is responsible for performing diagnostic testing on patient specimens and supplying accurate data to support the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. This role requires the use of independent judgment to ensure test results meet established quality control requirements and the maintenance of detailed performance documentation.
The Team Lead may contribute to research and development initiatives and is responsible for training and educating students as well as laboratory and non-laboratory personnel on proper laboratory methods and practices. All duties are carried out in compliance with approved standard operating procedures. The position may also involve assisting with the creation or revision of laboratory procedures and taking on additional duties as assigned by management or the laboratory director.
The Team Lead provides technical, administrative, and operational guidance and serves as a reliable subject-matter expert and key resource for individuals both within and outside the department.
