We are hiring a full time Pre Certification Specialist to join us in our Carmel, Indiana location.

Responsibilities
  • Promptly and professionally answers telephone calls. Route calls appropriately, offering voicemail or redirection of calls as needed.
  • Review patient records to determine the necessity of pre‑authorization for services.
  • Communicate with healthcare providers to gather required documentation as needed.
  • Follow up on pending requests to ensure timely approvals.
  • Educate patients about their insurance benefits and pre‑certification process.
  • Complete obstetrical intake and schedule all new OB appointments.
  • Explain financial requirements to patients; collect and record copays as required.
  • Obtain pre‑certifications from insurance for testing and procedures.
  • Perform registration functions for new and existing patients.
  • Schedule patient appointments per guidelines given.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all patients.
  • Adhere to infection control/safety guidelines and confidentiality policies through HIPAA compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Can focus on what is best for the team over the individual.
  • Can work 40 hours per week.
  • Can work between the hours of 7:45 a.m. and 9 p.m. as needed.
