Travel Surgical Tech​/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist​/CST

American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a hospital operating room supporting multiple surgical specialties.

• Minimum of 2 years of cumulative surgical technology experience
• High school diploma with 2 years of experience, or Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable experience required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required within 30 days of start
• Surgical Tech credential from NCCT or NBSTSA required prior to start
• Experience scrubbing robotics, spine, and/or orthopedic cases highly preferred
• License required if applicable
• Current license and primary source verification required within 30 days prior to start of assignment
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration
• Full SS# and DOB required for consideration

• 13-week assignment in a 10-OR surgical department
• Wide variety of specialties including bariatrics, plastics, robotics, orthopedics, and spine
• Shift hours from 10:30 to 19:00
• Participates in call rotation with possible 2-4 call shifts required per 6-week schedule period
• Prepares surgical suites with sterile drapes, solutions, instruments, and supplies
• Hands required instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients
• Maintains organized instrument tracking and monitors instrument counts throughout procedures
• Works with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, stressful surgical environment
• Follows Standard Precautions using appropriate personal protective equipment
• Accepts local candidates, subject to a radius rule that may affect pay rate
• Two professional references required for consideration
