Position Overview

As an Operations Manager within PNC's Asset Transfer Preparation organization, you will lead and support a ten‑person Preparation and Managed Account Operations team based in Cleveland, OH;
Birmingham, AL;
Pittsburgh, PA;
Indianapolis, IN; or Charlotte, NC. The role is an entry‑level management position responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely processing of asset transfers and ensuring operational excellence across the end‑to‑end workflow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the setup and processing of asset transfer service requests, ensuring accuracy based on client instructions, cash and asset transfer, and required verifications.
  • Ensure operational controls and procedures are followed to support accurate, compliant, and timely asset transfers.
  • Monitor team workflow and capacity to ensure work is distributed evenly and service level expectations are met.
  • Actively support the team by resolving escalations, identifying root causes, and implementing process improvements.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to address issues impacting asset transfer processing and client experience.
  • Lead the organization’s operating plan, communicate strategic direction, and translate it into tactical operating plans.
  • Manage and achieve desired business results, acting as a point of escalation and resolving exceptions.
  • Process and reconcile transactions of varying risk and financial value in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Provide coaching, development, and performance feedback to team members; lead staff meetings and facilitate career‑development conversations.
  • Identify, influence, and implement process‑improvement initiatives; develop and approve standard operating procedures and recommend policy improvements.
  • Review transactions and reports to identify exceptions, monitor quality, and ensure compliance; manage risk‑mitigation and business‑resiliency activities.
Qualifications / Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Demonstrated strength in critical thinking and high‑level problem solving.
  • Experience managing operational workflows in a regulated, high‑volume environment (financial‑services experience strongly preferred).
  • Proven ability to lead, develop, and engage teams while driving consistent execution.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to balance risk management and service delivery.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience; total related experience of 5+ years preferred.
  • Preferred skills: accountability, customer solutions, ensure compliance, personal initiative, process improvements, results‑oriented, risk‑mitigation strategies, standard operating procedures.
  • Competencies:

    decision making and critical thinking, effective communications, internal resource coordination, operational functions, problem solving, process management.
  • No degree or certification required.
Remote Work Policy

Remote work may be eligible in select geographic locations, subject to approval by PNC; if approved, work must be conducted from a quiet, secure, and confidential home‑based workspace. Occasional in‑office participation may be required based on business needs.
