Director of Operations

Make a big impact in a small, growing company in Carmel, Indiana.

The Director of Operations will report to the President and lead the day-to-day operations of the business. This individual will oversee a team of approximately 10 and play a key leadership role across manufacturing partnerships, international vendors, inventory, assembly, packaging, shipping, order entry, and customer service.

This is a hands-on, customer-forward leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a smaller, entrepreneurial environment and can bring structure, accountability, and continuous improvement to a growing business.

• Lead and develop a team of approximately 10 employees
• Oversee day-to-day operations, including order entry, customer service, light assembly, packaging, and shipping
• Manage relationships and performance with third-party manufacturing partners
• Partner with international vendors and suppliers
• Oversee inventory management, purchasing, and supply chain activities
• Ensure customer issues and commitments are addressed with urgency, ownership, and strong follow-through
• Partner closely with Sales to align operations and capacity with business growth
• Improve operational processes, systems, and efficiencies
• Establish and track key operational metrics
• Partner directly with the President on operational priorities and business growth

• Proven operations leadership experience in manufacturing, distribution, or a related environment
• Experience managing and developing teams
• Strong understanding of supply chain, inventory, purchasing, and vendor management
• Comfortable working directly with customers and resolving customer-related issues
• Collaborative, mature communicator who can build trust and work effectively with sales
• Experience working with contract manufacturers and/or international suppliers is a plus
• Hands-on leader who is comfortable operating at both the strategic and tactical level
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a smaller company where leaders are expected to roll up their sleeves
