ABOUTTHIS ROLE
The Annual Fund and Communication Coordinator supports the mission of the Foundation and the Fraternity by raising tax-deductible dollars from members and friends of Sigma Tau Gamma. The Coordinator is particularly focused on small- and medium-size recurring annual gifts. The Coordinator is successful when the Foundation achieves its annual fundraising goals and is able to increase the reliability and predictability of annual gifts up to $1,200.
The Coordinator manages all Foundation communications with the help of other Foundation and Fraternity employees. The Coordinator may be assigned other communications projects such as social media, newsletters, and creating magazine content. Finally, the Coordinator participates in Sigma Tau Gamma events in support of the above mission and other objectives.
- Execute annual giving appeals across email, mail, and social platforms focusing on donors up to $1,200.
- Maintain donor records, track gifts, process acknowledgments, and analyze giving trends through reporting.
- Manage donor segmentation, recurring gift performance, and matching gift participation.
- Write and distribute emails, newsletters, blogs, magazine articles, social posts, and donor updates for the Fraternity.
- Manage Foundation web and social content focused on impact, recognition, and fundraising.
- Develop appeal letters, campaign graphics, and stewardship materials.
- Coordinate donor recognition events and Foundation activities at national gatherings.
- Fulfill donor premiums and recognition items in a timely, accurate manner.
- Prepare materials for Foundation board meetings and scholarship stewardship.
- Support chapter fundraising communication and alumni outreach.
- Fraternity or sorority membership and basic knowledge of the Fraternity strongly preferred.
- Ability and willingness to travel as a representative of Sigma Tau Gamma. At least 10% travel should be expected.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite.
- Demonstrates professional behavior, including a professional online / social media footprint.
- Must be intelligent, hard-working, creative, curious, enthusiastic and motivated.
- Demonstrates solution oriented behavior and strong problem solving skills.
- Commitment to maintain confidentiality and a accuracy in constituent records.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and promote a positive work environment, the spirit of cooperation and positive reactions to change.
- Must be able and willing to lift and carry items 35-50 lbs.
