Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Carmel, IN, requiring BLS, NRP, and a minimum of 1 year of L&D experience.
Responsibilities- 8-bed Labor & Delivery unit with 3 triage rooms, 2 OR suites, and 4 antepartum (ATP) rooms
- Nurses circulate their own C-sections in the OR
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week (full-time)
- Rotating holidays and every third weekend required
- Responsibilities include implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating multi-disciplinary care, and carrying out physician and nursing orders
- Discharge planning coordination is part of the role
- Local candidates are accepted; candidates living within the facility's radius are eligible but may qualify for a different pay rate
- COVID vaccination is not required
- Active IN or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required (AHA only)
- NRP certification required (AHA/AAP)
- ACLS certification preferred (AHA only)
- Fetal monitoring certification required — AWHONN, Relias, or equivalent within the past 2 years if not covered on competency exam
- NRP Advanced preferred (AHA/AAP)
- Minimum 1 year of L&D experience required
- Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
- Two professional references required
- Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
- Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration
