Medical Surgical Unit - Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

• 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
• Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience.

• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required after submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations.
• Travel only, local not allowed.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program:
  Aya Program - IU Health and no current placement allowed at Program:
  Aya Program - IU Health.
• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program:
  Aya Program - IU Health and no current placement allowed at Program:
  Aya Program - IU Health.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

IU Health will not allow IN RN’s to work at their facilities. Exceptions include:
Periop/OR RN’s, Allied and Ambulatory RN travelers are exempt from this rule. Periop includes ENDO, IR RN, PACU, Cath Lab RN, SDS.

Med/Surg, Endocrine /Metabolic, Thyroidectomy, Gastrointestinal, Bariatric surgery, Bowel obstruction, Genitourinary/Renal, Continuous Bladder Irrigation (CBI), Orthopedics, Peripheral nerve block catheters, Plastics, Surgical drains, Professional Knowledge and Skills, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Additional Skills, General surgery post care 3/4, Urology and GYN post surgical care 3/4.

Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program.

Every Other

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
