Responsibilities

The Lead Clinical RN supervises and supports the nursing staff while also caring for patients. They are responsible for maintaining a high level of patient care and acting as a resource for both patient care and staff / patient education. Additionally, they will participate in and advise the centers Quality Council and other internal performance improvement teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Lead Clinical RN is required to be an experienced registered nurse who will display leadership and communication skills. They are responsible for supervising and assisting the nursing staff in all areas of the surgical center, patient care as well as providing support to the Clinical Leadership team.
  • Regular duties include supervising the general flow of patients during the day, assessing and assisting the nursing staff as needs arise.
  • Ensure collecting data and reporting assigned mandatory and center specific monthly and quarterly reports for trends / areas of improvement to the Quality Council.
    • Medical Record Audit reports (Total of 5 charts monthly representing each specialty)
    • Adverse Drug Reaction reports
    • Narcotic Audits (Monthly)
    • Diversion Risk Rounds (Quarterly with the Diversion Specialist)
    • Handwash Audits (Monthly)
    • Infection Control Best Practices (Monthly)
    • Housekeeping Rounds (Monthly)
    • Assist with additional reports and audits as requested
  • Assist with maintaining Center Survey Readiness
    • Assess center compliance with accreditation standards and regulations in collaboration with leadership and staff.
    • Identify areas of vulnerability and assist with the development of strategies to enhance compliance.
  • Communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization
  • Other duties as assigned by Center Administrators

Main Duties:

  • Are in complete alignment with our core values

  • To lead and supervise the work of the staff nurses
  • To maintain good working relationships with the nursing and care team, attend staff meetings and encourage input from the whole team on improvements to the care service
  • Communicate all requests and changes of practice to all relevant personnel
  • Ensure all staff comply with the organization’s policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all staff comply with regulatory requirements i.e Infection Control.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Current license to practice professional nursing in the state required
  • ACLS & BLS current
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

USD $28.61/Hr. USD $46.00/Hr.
