Job Overview
Registered Nurse (RN) – Full‑time, Day Shift 6:00 am – 6:30 pm at Residential Living Center, Holy Rosary Healthcare, Miles City, MT. Sign‑on bonus up to $10,000. Weekend rotation varies from every other to every third weekend.
Schedule:
36 hours per week.
- Identify and document resident/family learning needs and provide education based on assessment in collaboration with resident, family, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Coordinate or delegate discharge activities: complete or validate transfer/discharge documents, instructions related to medications, activity, wound care and follow‑up appointments.
- Document resident/family response to education.
- Maintain working knowledge of CMS regulations to ensure documentation supports compliance.
- Maintain working knowledge of Medicare skilled and MDS criteria to support care need and resident status documentation.
- Incorporate resident needs and preferences into organized, efficient delivery of care by a team; assign daily cares and delegate tasks appropriately.
- Supervise, coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of assigned CNAs.
- Demonstrate knowledge and technical competence in preparation and administration of medications and IVs per scope of practice and hospital policy.
- Document nursing interventions, residents' response to care, and outcomes.
- Set priorities for and review daily plan of care in collaboration with resident/family/significant other and other healthcare disciplines.
- Communicate with physician to ensure coordination of medical and nursing plan of care.
- Communicate compassionately and effectively.
- ASN from an accredited program.
- BSN from an accredited program preferred.
- Current Montana RN license.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
- Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Effective verbal communication skills for rapid information exchange, especially during emergencies.
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex equipment, computer use, typing for documentation, medication preparation.
- Ability to lift, transfer and carry patients, including heavy items up to and including heavy weights.
- Ability to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and distribute supplies and equipment; push/pull gurneys and portable equipment.
- Ability to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
- Up to $10,000 sign‑on bonus.
- Competitive hourly wage: $34.11 – $51.73, dependent on experience.
