Position DetailsRole: Weekend Kennel Attendant Status: Part-time Salary: $Negotiable and based on experience Schedule: Every Saturday and Sunday, including holidays that fall on weekends Shift Times: Three visits per day at 7:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 7:00 PM

Are you a true animal lover looking for a rewarding part‑time role where pets depend on you to start and end their day with excellent care? Sherlock Bones Animal Hospital is looking for a dependable, punctual, and attentive Weekend Kennel Attendant to care for our boarding pets.
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in being reliable, and genuinely loves caring for animals. Our boarding pets count on you for meals, medications, exercise, clean accommodations, and plenty of attention throughout the weekend.

- Provide loving, attentive care for boarding dogs and cats
- Walk dogs outdoors and provide appropriate exercise
- Feed, water, and monitor feline boarders and patients
- Clean, sanitize, and prepare cages, kennels, and runs
- Safely administer medications as instructed
- Monitor pets for changes in behavior, appetite, comfort, or condition
- Keep up with daily laundry, dishes, and general kennel tidiness
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all boarding pets
- Complete assigned responsibilities independently during each scheduled visit
- Absolute dependability and strict punctuality for all scheduled shift times
- Availability every Saturday and Sunday, including weekend holidays
- A genuine passion for animals and their well‑being
- The ability to work independently and follow established care instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Comfort handling dogs and cats safely and compassionately
- Prior animal‑handling or pet‑care experience is preferred
- A responsible, attentive, and trustworthy approach to animal care
- A predictable Saturday and Sunday schedule
- Three focused visits each day rather than one continuous shift
- Plenty of one‑on‑one interaction with boarding pets
