Bakery Team Leader Assistant

As a Bakery Team Leader Assistant at Market District, you'll support daily bakery operations in a dynamic, food-focused retail environment. Working closely with the Bakery Team Leader, you'll assist with production planning, preparation, baking, finishing, and merchandising of breads, pastries, and specialty items. You will help maintain product quality, freshness, and food safety standards while ensuring attractive displays and accurate signage.

This role supports training of team members, guiding them in recipes, portioning, and customer service. You'll interact with guests, take special orders, and help manage inventory, rotation, and cleanliness to deliver an exceptional bakery experience.

Responsibilities

• Support daily bakery production including mixing, baking, and finishing products
• Assist with merchandising, product displays, and signage to drive sales
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and quality standards
• Help train and guide bakery team members on procedures and recipes
• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service and take special orders
• Monitor inventory, product rotation, and waste reduction
• Assist with opening and closing procedures and equipment checks
• Coordinate with Bakery Team Leader on production planning and scheduling
