Overview
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is a full-time sales position that offers exposure to the lead generation, nurturing, and sales process of a global software company within the healthcare industry. This role focuses on outbound prospecting to generate and cultivate sales leads that become qualified sales opportunities. It is designed to expose you to the Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or Laboratory Information System (LIS) industry.

Essential Functions
- Own outbound prospecting motion by strategically engaging high value target accounts through outbound calling, personalized messaging, and multichannel outreach.
- Build early pipeline by uncovering needs, assessing qualification status, and converting conversations into actionable sales opportunities.
- Ensure flawless lead flow by documenting all interactions in the Sales Prospecting Tool and CRM while coordinating meetings between the prospect and the appropriate Sales Representative for a smooth handoff.
- Own the inbound lead qualification motion by rapidly responding to marketing-generated inquiries, conducting discovery to assess fit and urgency, and advancing strong prospects into sales-ready opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales reps to prospect for new business opportunities within your territory.
- Work in a team environment to build and maintain prospective customer relationships to achieve growth targets.
- Stay up to date on product updates and effectively communicate changes to less experienced peers.
- Strong phone presence and ability to engage prospects, generate interest, and nurture leads.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, goal oriented, with ability to multitask and collaborate across diverse teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Copilot.
- Ability to prioritize and organize requests from multiple parties.
- Problem resolution skills and strong initiative.
- Ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience in a sales development or lead-generating role.
- Prior experience using AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, to assist with prospecting and outreach strategy.
- Previous experience with Clinisys products.
- Experience in lead generation, sales, and/or account management is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record of sourcing high-quality leads through phone-based outreach.
- Experience in SaaS or healthcare sales is strongly preferred.
- Experience with Net Suite, Hub Spot Sales, Zoom Info is preferred.
- Knowledge of the clinical laboratory industry is a plus.

- Work is performed in a normal office setting with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards. Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds with assistance as part of routine office tasks.
- Up to 10% travel may be required to attend trade shows or shadow reps on site visits.

The starting pay range for this position is generally $23-$25/hour as base salary and is eligible for commissions. The actual pay will be based on location, qualifications, and experience.
