Carrier Sales

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Carrier Sales role based in Carmel, IN. The Carrier Sales professional will build and manage relationships with carrier partners, negotiate rates and capacity, and match available freight with appropriate carriers to ensure on-time, cost-effective delivery. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting and onboarding new carriers, monitoring active loads, resolving service issues, and maintaining clear, proactive communication with both internal teams and external partners.

The role also involves tracking market trends, updating transportation management systems, and collaborating with account managers to support shipper needs. Success in this position requires a strong focus on service, reliability, and performance in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong knowledge or experience in Freight Brokerage, including working with carriers and understanding market rates and capacity.
• Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information, negotiate, and build rapport with carriers and internal teams.
• Proven Customer Service and Account Management abilities to support ongoing carrier relationships and address service issues promptly.
• Demonstrated Sales skills, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing to grow carrier networks and secure capacity.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple loads and priorities under time pressure.
• Comfort with transportation management systems, spreadsheets, and common office software tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment and make decisions quickly with sound judgment.
• Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain is preferred; a relevant associate or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
