Role DescriptionThe Carrier Sales role at Forza Logistics Group is a full-time, on-site position based in Carmel, IN. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with carrier partners, negotiating rates, and securing capacity for customer shipments. Day-to-day tasks include sourcing and onboarding new carriers, managing carrier performance, and monitoring loads to ensure on‑time pickup and delivery. The Carrier Sales professional will communicate regularly with carriers and internal teams, resolve service issues, and support account management by aligning carrier capabilities with customer needs.
This role also involves proactive outreach, pipeline management, and contributing to continuous process improvement within the freight brokerage team.
- Freight Brokerage, carrier sourcing, and load management skills with a solid understanding of transportation and logistics operations.
- Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to build trust, handle issues professionally, and maintain long‑term carrier relationships.
- Account Management and Sales skills to grow carrier networks, negotiate rates, and support customer service objectives.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, prioritize tasks, and make data‑informed decisions under time constraints.
- Proficiency with common logistics software, TMS platforms, and basic office applications (e.g., spreadsheets, email, CRM tools).
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and commitment to integrity and performance.
- Previous experience in freight brokerage, transportation, or logistics sales is preferred but not mandatory.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post‑secondary education in business, logistics, or a related field is a plus.
