Qualifications:
Instructional Assistant Iii aides must be willing to work with difficult students. Must be willing to work in Emotionally Disturbed (Ed) or Autism Spectrum Disorder (Asd) classrooms. In some programs, possession of, or willingness and ability to obtain a valid California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire or before driving any equipment/vehicle requiring this license. Willingness to be trained in and use non-violent intervention, behavior intervention, and physical restraint techniques.
Required Materials That Must Be Submitted With Application:
Must pre-qualify by attaching your high school diploma and one documentation from the following list: 1. A passing score from San Juan Unified School District's Proficiency Exam - testing date must be April 2005 to current. No other school districts proficiency exam will be accepted.
2. Official passing score from the California Basic Educational Skills Test (Cbest) OR 3. Official transcripts demonstrating the completion of two years of college (48 semester/60 quarter units) OR 4. Proof of an A.A. degree (or higher).
*** Foreign degrees, transcripts and diploma must be evaluated for its equivalency to a diploma/degree/transcripts received from an accredited United States high school, college or university. Passing the Ia Proficiency Test or having the Cbest is required, regardless of educational background.
