This position is available to be filled in either our Carol Stream, IL facility or our Woodstock or Rogers, CT facilities. The role is responsible for managing cost accounting processes, analyzing cost data, and providing insights to support financial decision-making. This role ensures accurate cost reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and supports operational efficiency. Compensation for this position will be determined based on various factors, including experience, skills, and internal equity.
The expected salary range for this role is between $85,000 and $120,000 per year. Additional compensation may include but is not limited to, bonus programs and an employee stock purchase plan.
- Prepare and analyze cost reports, variance analysis, and gross margin reports.
- Maintain and update standard costs and Bills of Materials (BOM) in ERP systems.
- Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and inventory valuation.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes with cost projections.
- Partner with operations and procurement teams to monitor material costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls; assist with audits.
- Provide financial insights for pricing, profitability, and process improvements.
- Other duties assigned.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. May consider equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree.
- 4-7 years of cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing.
- CPA or CMA certifications preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and GAAP.
- Proficiency in ERP (SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytic and communication skill.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teams.
