Accounting Manager – M&A & Manufacturing Operations
Base pay range$/yr - $/yr
About the RoleThe Accounting Manager will play a critical leadership role supporting financial operations across manufacturing facilities while leading all accounting aspects of mergers & acquisitions, including purchase accounting and post-acquisition integration. This position combines strong technical accounting expertise with hands‑on operational experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities- Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for manufacturing operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Manage and execute purchase accounting for acquisitions, including valuation support, opening balance sheet setup, goodwill calculations, and post-close adjustments.
- Serve as primary accounting partner for M&A transactions, supporting due diligence, deal structuring, and integration planning.
- Oversee cost accounting, inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing variances.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies in compliance with US GAAP.
- Partner cross‑functionally with operations, supply chain, FP&A, and external auditors.
- Manage and mentor accounting staff; drive continuous process improvement and automation.
- Support external audits, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead ERP integration efforts for newly acquired entities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA preferred).
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing and M&A exposure.
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP, purchase accounting, and consolidation.
- Strong background in cost accounting and inventory management.
- Proven experience leading teams and managing multiple priorities in dynamic environments.
- Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience required (Net Suite, SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Strong technical accounting expertise.
- Hands‑on operational experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience with M&A transactions (purchase accounting)
