Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Intern — TW Metals Internship Program

Forge is the TW Metals Internship Program — a hands‑on, paid, 10‑week summer program built to give college students meaningful, real‑world experience. You apply once, to the program. Based on your knowledge, skills and interests — and where we have opportunities — you’ll be placed with one of our core teams:
Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, Human Resources or Finance.

You’ll own a project from scope to finish, learn the systems and processes the business actually runs on, and present your work to our senior leadership team at the end of the summer.

Where You Could Be Placed

You do not apply to a department. You apply to Forge, and we match you to the team where you will do your best work.

  • Sales — learn how we build customer relationships, quote and win business, and manage accounts in a competitive market.
  • Supply Chain — help plan inventory, source material, coordinate logistics, and keep specialty metals moving worldwide.
  • Operations — see how orders become shipments on the floor of a modern metals distribution center, and where the process can be made better.
  • Human Resources — support recruiting, onboarding, talent development and the programs that keep our people thriving.
  • Finance — dig into reporting, analysis, and the numbers behind smart business decisions.

Final placement depends on your strengths and our open opportunities at the time of hire. You are welcome to tell us where you’re most interested — we ask about it during the interview process — and we will place you where you and the business are the best match.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with your team and mentor on a real project that makes a visible impact.
  • Learn and use the business systems, tools and processes used across the company.
  • Gather, organize and analyze data to support decisions and recommendations.
  • Collaborate across departments and build relationships with colleagues at every level.
  • Visit a TW Metals mill or branch to see how our products are made, stored and moved.
  • Prepare and present your project and your findings to our senior leadership team.
  • Bring fresh ideas and a willingness to jump in, ask questions and grow.

What You’ll Gain

  • Meaningful, resume‑building experience on a project that actually matters.
  • One‑on‑one mentorship from experienced professionals who want you to succeed.
  • A structured 10‑week program: orientation, functional‑area overviews, professional development workshops, site visits, a community service event and cohort coaching.
  • A behind‑the‑scenes look at how a global, fast‑paced company really operates.
  • A professional network and skills that translate directly to your career.
  • Competitive pay at $20.00 per hour, plus housing support or a stipend if relocation is required.
  • A potential pathway to full‑time opportunities after graduation.

What You Bring

  • Currently enrolled in an associate’s, bachelor’s or graduate program — or a recent graduate.
  • Coursework or a genuine interest in a related field: business, sales, supply chain, operations, human resources, finance or similar.
  • Availability for the full program, June 1 – August 6, 2027, including the first week of orientation.
  • Strong communication, organization and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and eagerness to learn new tools.
  • Curiosity, initiative, professionalism and a team‑first attitude.
  • Reliable, coachable and ready to contribute in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Works well as a member of a group
  • Shows intense and eager enjoyment and interest
  • Devoted to a task or purpose with loyalty or integrity
