$16.00-$18.00 per hour.

Part-time position (no more than 1,000 hours in a calendar year). 10–20 hours per week. Must be available to work evenings and weekends.

Shifts generally:
Monday–Friday: 4:30 pm–9:15 pm;
Saturday: 8 am–9:15 pm;
Sunday: 8 am–9:15 pm.

Not a desk job – this role offers a stepping stone into behind‑the‑scenes recreation management or a part‑time job with varied responsibilities.

The Supervisor on Duty works independently and as part of a team to ensure smooth operations. Responsibilities include monitoring programs, events, and operations of park district facilities and parks, and acting as the evening and weekend manager on duty, responding to questions or concerns that may arise.

• Minimum of two years of recreation or customer service experience.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Self‑motivated with ability to multi‑task and prioritize.
• Capable of independent problem‑solving, proactive decision‑making, and confident direction of employees, participants, parents, and spectators.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Valid Illinois driver's license required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required (will be provided).
• Successful post‑offer drug test and driver’s abstract.
• Successful background check.
• Minimum age 18.
