💰 Salary Range: $96,500 – $107,200

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer III to join our engineering team in Carol Stream, IL. This role is responsible for leading the design, development, and continuous improvement of industrial automation and packaging machinery.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in machine design, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and industrial automation environments
, and can independently manage projects from concept through installation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems and assemblies for industrial automation and packaging equipment
  • Create 3D models and detailed 2D drawings using Solid Works
  • Develop and maintain accurate BOMs and documentation
  • Design and optimize pneumatic and hydraulic circuits
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and fluid power systems in production environments
  • Lead enhancements to existing machinery to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective solutions
  • Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, controls, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers
  • Participate in design reviews, validation testing, and machine start-up support
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience in industrial machinery or automation
  • Strong proficiency in Solid Works
  • Experience with pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems
  • Knowledge of GD&T and manufacturing processes
