Senior Branch Specialist; Personal Banker - Float

Overview

Join Consumers Credit Union as a Senior Branch Specialist (Personal Banker) – float at our Arlington Heights branch. The position will be predominantly based in Arlington Heights but may float to additional branch locations including Kildeer, Northbrook, Carol Stream, Streamwood, Schaumburg, and Lake in the Hills. Mileage for travel between branches is eligible for reimbursement.

• Develop relationships with members and serve as their financial expert.
• Open specialized accounts and educate members about products and services that support their financial goals.
• Perform teller responsibilities and manage cash handling.
• Identify appropriate financial products and guide members toward solutions that best meet their needs, overcoming objections and using service‑minded sales techniques.
• Process requests for specialized accounts and consumer loan applications.
• Act as a team player by greeting members, directing them to the appropriate specialist, and answering calls for assistance.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, audits, quality control, and balancing standards.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of similar experience in retail, customer service, sales, or cash handling; experience in a financial institution, teller, or personal banker preferred.
• Comfortable promoting products and engaging in sales‑oriented conversations.
• Computer proficiency with data processing platforms, email, internet, instant messaging, and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
• Ability to multitask, work at a fast pace, and stay organized.

• Availability to work 40+ hours per week with the following schedule:
  Monday‑Thursday 8:15 am – 5:15 pm;
  Friday 8:15 am – 6:15 pm; regular Saturdays 8:15 am – 1:15 pm.

Hourly rate: $18.34 – $27.51. The role is eligible for sales incentives. Salary decisions consider factors such as skills, experience, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs.
