Summary
This position will be responsible for supporting our Woodstock, CT and Carol Stream, IL locations. The person hired can be located near either of these sites and would be required to travel to the other site as needed (10‑25%). The role is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and performance of the plant, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis, and control, managing budgeting and forecasting, monitoring costs and variances, and providing insights and recommendations to improve efficiency and profitability.
EssentialFunctions
- Provides support in reviewing and understanding data related to work centers, routers, costing rollups/analysis, data integrity/reporting, and ongoing decision support as needed.
- Monitors capital and major expense projects.
- Supports inventory management through physical inventories and cycle counting and ensures compliance with policies.
- Prepares reconciliations, commentary, and journal entries for various transactions and ensures reviews comply with regulatory documentation and approval requirements.
- Manages the annual operating plan working closely with Product Line Management and Operations to set targets.
- Prepares and reviews weekly and monthly financial results, establishing short‑term and long‑term forecasts.
- Analyzes variances and guides the organization for cost reduction opportunities.
- Executes other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (equivalent work experience may be considered).
- Six or more years of related experience.
- Experience with accounting principles, financial analysis/reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements, cost accounting, and inventory management concepts.
- Requires occasional travel (10‑15%).
Compensation for this position will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity. The expected salary range is between $110,000 and $155,000. Additional compensation may include bonus programs and an employee stock purchase plan.
