Basic Scope/Purpose
:
Manage the overall cleaning operation of assigned facilities to ensure that they are properly cleaned to meet the customer’s requirement. Ensure that an effective relationship is developed and maintained with each customer.

• Manage the day to day cleaning of assigned buildings by providing leadership and support to Service Master employees and ensuring adequate staffing as defined by the building budget and staffing plan.
• Schedule and monitor employee work times to ensure buildings are cleaned within the designated budgeted times and maintain compliance with stated building budgets.
• Meet with building staff on a regular basis.
• Monitor employee timesheets to ensure employees report to work as scheduled.
• Inspect assigned buildings as scheduled to ensure they are being properly cleaned and maintained.
• Ensure cleaning supplies, paper products, and equipment are available and monitor supply costs so that chemical and paper product costs do not exceed the stated supply budget.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is in good working order, clean, and can be operated safely.
• Develop and maintain a positive relationship with appropriate building contacts and meet with them regularly.
• Recommend additional services that would improve cleanliness and appearance of assigned buildings.
• Provide oversight of project work and floor work as assigned.
• Maintain proper maintenance of assigned company vehicle.

• Highly developed teamwork skills.
• Strong and effective communication skills verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrated ability to see the big picture and provide useful and strategic advice to General Managers.
• Ability to lead in an environment of constant change.
• Ability to direct the efforts of a team of diverse staff.
• Previous janitorial experience is a plus.
• Must be able to plan, schedule, and manage multiple job sites.
• Must be able to perform duties after 5:00 pm; periodic weekend and holiday work required.
