As a Recertification Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program requirements. You will work closely with residents and management teams to process certifications, verify documentation, maintain regulatory compliance, and provide exceptional customer service throughout the recertification process.

The ideal candidate is organized, professional, and experienced in affordable housing regulations and resident file management.

• Process annual and interim recertifications in accordance with LIHTC regulations
• Review resident documentation and verify eligibility requirements
• Maintain accurate and compliant resident files
• Ensure deadlines for recertifications and compliance-related activities are met
• Communicate with residents regarding required documentation and program requirements
• Assist with file audits and compliance reviews
• Coordinate with property management staff to ensure regulatory standards are maintained
• Track and monitor compliance reports and documentation
• Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism

• Previous experience as a Recertification Specialist or Affordable Housing Specialist required
• Working knowledge of LIHTC compliance guidelines
• Strong understanding of income verification and resident certification procedures
• Experience managing affordable housing files and documentation
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Yardi experience preferred
• Rent Cafe experience a plus

The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and committed to maintaining compliance standards while creating a positive experience for residents. You should be comfortable working independently, managing multiple priorities, and handling sensitive information with discretion.
