Warehouse Associate​/Steel Saw Operator

Founded in 1925 and a leader in the production of Stainless Steels, Nickel Alloys and Titanium Long products, Valbruna is a private company with 2,500 employees and an annual output of approx. 250,000 tons of specialty steels. Production is primarily focused on Stainless Steels and Specialty Alloys, available in blooms and billets, ingots, round, square, flat, hexagonal and angle bars, wire rod, wire, reinforcement bars and threaded rods, with the expressed goal of satisfying the most sophisticated needs of the customer.

To that end, Valbruna is constantly updating its production capabilities and experience.

• Reads customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, and ultimately processed/cut.
• Conveys material and items from receiving or other areas to storage or to other designated areas.
• Restock material or items on racks or shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
• Cut and assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets and conveys orders for shipping.
• Marks material with identifying information.
• Records amounts of material or items received or distributed.
• Weighs or counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance with company standards.
• Uses computer to enter records.

• Forklift experience preferred.
• Metals industry experience preferred.
• Metal Saw Cutting experience preferred.
• Packaging experience preferred.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability and desire to keep work area clean, swept and organized.
• Ability to work independently and perform accurately under deadline conditions.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
• Maintains inventory records.
• Flexible - Multi-purpose performance responding to changing workflow demands.
• Ability to routinely lift and carry 75 pounds.
• Must be able to work safely in a fast paced warehouse setting and operating forklifts and small industrial sawing and packaging equipment. Training is provided.
• Good basic organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledgeable with dimensions and diameters (micrometer) is a plus but not required.
• Hourly Rate $18 - $20
• Bonus 2 times per year
