Logistics Lead - 2nd Shift

• The Shipping and Receiving Lead is responsible for the direct operation of the Material Movement.
• Coordinate and supervise employees in the handling of materials.
• Train and motivate employees in work standards; recommend disciplinary actions according to plant rules and regulations.
• Operate forklift to load ingredients, packaging, etc. onto customer trucks at loading docks in a safe, efficient and timely manner.
• Transport materials to proper holding area and keep work area clean and organized.

• Responsible for all safety issues; including accident reports
• Follow and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and company policies; familiar with GMP requirements and employee handbook
• Assign and direct employees to work stations and activities
• Ensure product meets quality standards before it is loaded
• Conduct quality checks and ensure all assigned tests are completed
• Assist in setting crew levels to promote efficiency
• Train and maintain a competent crew
• Suggest work orders as needed; assist in inventory control
• Provide input for employee evaluations; promote harmonious relations
• Recommend methods to improve efficiency; maintain confidentiality
• Load materials and take inventory as needed
• Support production by delivering supplies to production and back to warehouse
• Operate straight fork, slip sheet, and clamp
• Check forklift conditions at start of shift
• Complete department forms and communicate issues to supervisors, production, data entry, and accounting
• Work independently with little supervision; comply with company rules and safety regulations
• Communicate in English to give and acknowledge instructions and problems
• Meet company attendance standards
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions
• Ability to use hands and fingers; see, hear, and talk
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in light to moderate noise; hearing protection may be required
• Ability to work in excess of 40 hours per week
• Ability to present information effectively to employees or management
• Repetitive reaching overhead, under and across throughout shift
• General housekeeping responsibilities
• Ability to distinguish colors; basic math skills; read and interpret safety rules and manuals
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks

• Maintain harmonious relations with employees from all departments and levels of management
• Communicate effectively with all employees and management

• Able to work independently at most times

• High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
• Basic to mid-level math and reading skills
• Good communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Strong self-confidence and leadership skills
• Possess forklift license or ability to obtain one through Maker's Pride
• Ability to work with little supervision
• Understands basic concept of First In/First Out (FIFO) product rotation
• Must be accurate and detail-oriented

Starting Pay:
Lead Level I $25.15/hr., We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees including health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the 90th day of employment.
