Production Supervisor 1st Shift

Eaton’s IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor 1st Shift. This is a full time, on‑site position based at our Carol Stream, IL manufacturing facility.

5AM‑3:30PM

Expected annual salary range: $71,000 - $105,000 per year. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, that it intends to separate its Mobility Group into a separate publicly traded company, expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2027. Compensation and benefits for this position are based on Eaton’s plans, programs, and practices. Candidates who are offered and accept this role and are employed by the Mobility Group at the time of the spin‑off will receive further details on compensation and benefits from the new company.

What

you’ll do
  • Directly supervise the stamping operation on the assigned shift, including but not limited to presses, auxiliary equipment, and qualified personnel to ensure product quality and delivery requirements are met.
  • Communicate effectively with Quality, Tooling, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure internal and customer requirements are met.
  • Lead troubleshooting of tooling, material, or other issues that interrupt production efficiency.
  • Coordinate with Toolmakers, Setup, or other personnel to resume production at expected levels.
  • Support the Die and Tooling Preventative Maintenance Programs, ensuring stamping dies and equipment are maintained as necessary.
  • Work with Warehouse personnel to ensure stamping material, packaging, and other supplies support efficient stamping operations.
  • Determine accurate part counts per shift for production reporting; communicate completed jobs per shift to appropriate personnel.
  • Carry out training specific to each part, part family, or customer requirements as directed.
  • Ensure stamping press operators are adequately trained prior to operating presses independently; document training; support Horizon’s Certified Operator and Certified Setup programs.
  • Maintain skill polyvalence to run production.
  • Schedule personnel and job assignments to meet shift production requirements.
  • Perform performance management and complete all job responsibilities of direct reports.
  • Oversee shop floor 5S to maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policy.
  • Open and close the facility and ensure smooth transition between shifts.
  • Follow and enforce all safety procedures, including use of personal protective equipment.
  • Comply with all company quality, environmental, and health and safety requirements.
Qualifications Required Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of two years of leadership experience in manufacturing.

  • No relocation is available; candidates must reside within 50 miles of Carol Stream, IL, except active‑duty military may be exempt from this limitation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Automotive industry experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma experience.
  • Bi‑lateral skills (Spanish/English).
Skills
  • Physical demands: may require lifting up to 40 pounds.
  • Noise level is high (ear plugs required in designated areas).
  • Personal protective equipment required in manufacturing areas.
  • Self‑motivated with good communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Team oriented.
