Job Summary
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading, developing, managing and executing all aspects of maintenance with customers, suppliers, local and corporate-wide Maker’s Pride employees and the manufacturing staff. The incumbent also oversees supervising, training and mentoring members of the Maintenance department to ensure production equipment is properly maintained for manufacturing and packaging of all products. The position reports to the Plant Manager and manages a team of around 35 maintenance team members.
Job Duties- Responsible for leading, developing, managing and executing all aspects for maintenance with customers, suppliers, local and corporate-wide Maker’s Pride employees and the manufacturing staff.
- Responsible for the creation and delivery of all key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives for the Maintenance department.
- Responsible for maintaining key equipment parts inventory, managing the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program, managing the Work Order system and managing the overall day-to-day activities of the Maintenance department.
- Develop, maintain and continuously improve on all standard operating procedures as they relate to our maintenance programs (predictive and preventative) to meet all company and customer requirements.
- Evaluate the performance of direct reports against their job requirements and performance goals.
- Requires partnering with Corporate regarding corporate programs and best practices.
- Maintain a safety, sanitation and GMP awareness within the department.

- Knowledge and experience with EAM and SAP
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards
- Demonstrated proficiency in a multi-craft maintenance role and continuous improvement is required. Experience in PLC programming a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in developing both predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
- Maintaining harmonious relationships and effectively communicating with all customers, suppliers, local and corporate-wide employees and manufacturing staff.
- Be detailed-oriented, have strong self-confidence and leadership skills and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, EAM, and SAP.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Five to seven years of related experience, including demonstrated leadership and management of a Maintenance department.
- Experience in the food or pharmaceutical industry preferred.
- Must be detailed-oriented, have strong self-confidence and leadership skills and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to uphold Maker’s Pride’s mission, vision and values on a daily basis.
- Sitting at a workstation for infrequent periods of time.
- Stand, walk and climb stairs on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds on an infrequent basis.
- Work is done in both an office and production floor setting.
- Frequent production environment exposure, which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, forklifts and fluctuations in temperature.
Senior Management has identified this position as having responsibility to meet food safety and quality objectives and the requirements of the SQF System. During absence, this position will be backed up by a direct reporting supervisor. Current training program (annual learning plan) ensures this position and its backups are competent to carry out functions pertaining to food safety and quality.
We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment. The pay range is $97,210 - $145,814 per year. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance.
