Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Job Description:
2nd Shift: Sr. Maintenance Technician – Monday to Friday, 2:00PM to 10:30PM (overtime as required).
Key Responsibilities:- Ensures reliability of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance on machines and systems.
- Performs mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals, diagrams, sketches, engineering specifications, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Uses hand tools and measuring instruments to determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts.
- Assembles, installs, adjusts, and calibrates mechanical and electrical machinery and equipment.
- Dismantles, repairs, rebuilds, and replaces equipment and parts as needed.
- Adheres to all plant safety policies and participates in plant-wide safety, housekeeping, Operational Excellence, and Lean Manufacturing programs.
- Provides assistance and guidance to junior maintenance colleagues and performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) or technical training.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
Skills:
- Ability to select and operate appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery and electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Familiarity with injection molding machines.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and work orders.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and effective communication of issues and solutions to team members.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Capability to troubleshoot, disassemble, and reassemble manufacturing equipment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under limited supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software.
Pay range: $22.40 – $38.17 per hour. New hire competitive wage typically $31.00 to $35.00 per hour, varying by market data and job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The position may also be eligible for a short‑term incentive.
