Description:
We are seeking an experienced Spot Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating spot‑welding equipment, assembling weldments, performing quality inspections, and ensuring products meet company specifications and quality standards.
- Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and adjust spot‑welding equipment and fixtures.
- Assemble and weld metal components according to blueprints and specifications.
- Perform secondary welding processes including grinding, polishing, weld cleaning, and sandblasting.
- Read and interpret blueprints, material gauges, and tolerances.
- Verify material thickness and inspect parts for quality, burrs, and defects.
- Use measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers.
- Maintain inventory accuracy of raw materials and work orders.
- Remove tabs, PVC coatings, and de‑burr parts as needed.
- Deliver completed parts to the next work center.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership regarding production issues, shortages, and quality concerns.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Previous spot welding experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and bills of materials.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate fabrication equipment.
- Experience using hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
- Basic organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods (8–10 hours), lift up to 50 lbs as needed, and work in a manufacturing environment with standard safety equipment.
Production takes place in a fabrication facility manufacturing industrial kitchen appliances. Employees are expected to follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
