Job Summary

The Parts Finisher performs repetitive bench or line assembly operations to produce various types of specified products in addition to completing routine tasks of hand washing or operating the ultrasonic wash machine to clean manufactured components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deburr parts with tools such as deburring wheels, reamers, drills, sandpaper, scotchbrite, small files, or small pneumatic tools.
  • Load and unload materials or parts from washer to specified area.
  • Immerse objects in washing and rinsing solutions to remove debris.
  • Wash parts in an ultrasonic machine or solvent, dry parts, examine parts, remove debris.
  • Measure and pour soap or chemical into wash water, set controls to regulate cycle of wash and water temperature.
  • Inspect parts, some under a microscope.
  • Responsible for Heli‑Coil installation.
  • Complete parts assembly (non‑electronic parts) and packaging.
  • Operate a pallet jack or other moving equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisor as needed.
  • Follow oral and written instructions.
  • Recognize and sort materials.
  • Operate machinery.
  • Have a strong work ethic: willing to work overtime to meet tight deadlines as needed.
Education and Experience
  • Previous general labor experience in a machine shop environment preferred.
  • High School diploma or GED Equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Work Environment Requirements
  • Regularly required to stand and reach throughout the shift, 8-10 hours.
  • Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend.
  • Frequently required to perform repetitive or short‑cycle work.
  • Regularly lift, push, or pull up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Understand and observe all necessary safety procedures: safety glasses, shoes, ear protection, machine interlocks, lifting guidelines, etc., as designated in specific work area assigned.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and accurately in noisy environments.
  • Must also have close, distance, and peripheral vision, with the ability to adjust focus and judge depth. Color vision is required as well.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

Compensation

$18-21 per hour
