Position Summary

The Pipe Material Handler is responsible for the daily handling, organization, and inventory control of pipe materials within the warehouse. This role supports Production Control by issuing pipe to work orders, managing inbound and outbound shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory through cycle counts and system updates. The ideal candidate is highly organized, safety-focused, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate pipe inventory through regular cycle counts, location transfers, and bin consolidation
  • Verify incoming pipe shipments against packing lists (size, schedule, heats, quantities)
  • Load and unload trucks for inbound and outbound pipe shipments
  • Stage and deliver pipe materials to assigned saws based on Production Manager schedules
  • Return unused pipe from saw areas back to inventory and update system locations accordingly
  • Manage and issue pipe materials for work orders, including tracking material variances
  • Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow 5S housekeeping standards
  • Support safe warehouse operations by following all safety policies and procedures
Qualifications & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior pipe handling or heavy material handling experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of warehouse procedures and inventory control practices
  • Experience with ERP systems preferred
  • Forklift experience required; side loader experience preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift, move, and handle heavy pipe materials
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and operating warehouse equipment
  • Comfortable working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment
