Job Description
Aegis is seeking a Mechanic to join our client's organization in Carol Stream, IL. The position is a 6 month contract to hire role – Aegis does offer benefits for the contractors and an accrual PTO schedule. The ideal candidate has the following skills and experience:
- 5+ years of experience repairing and maintaining industrial equipment (packaging, processing, or manufacturing).
- Strong mechanical systems knowledge with working experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring devices.
- Forklift certification or experience (training provided if needed).
- Experience with packaging or processing equipment specifically.
- Familiarity with machine setup, testing, and video documentation processes.
- Experience coordinating with purchasing for parts procurement.
