1st Shift: Sr. Molding Set-Up Technician

Role Overview

Sr. Molding Set‑Up Technician – 1st Shift (6:00am – 2:30pm, Monday‑Friday). Responsible for setting up and removing molds, including auxiliary equipment for injection molding machines ranging from 50‑to‑800tons.

• Set up pull molds and hydraulic cores.
• Set up auxiliary equipment (temperature control units, hot‑runner controllers, etc.).
• Assist with machine startups and respond to alarms.
• Support color changes.
• Operate all equipment and gauges as needed and relieve machine operators during breaks.
• Maintain safety observances: use PPE, ensure guards, follow lockout/tag‑out program and safety features.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area and follow all safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

High‑school diploma (or equivalent) with 2–3years of relevant experience. Technical school education preferred. 3–5years of experience with mold setup is preferred.

• Knowledge of plastic machinery and the production process.
• Understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems beneficial.
• Strong technical and problem‑solving skills.
• Detail‑oriented, good time‑management and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Compensation range: $22.40 – $38.17 per hour annually. Typical starting wage for new hires is $27.00–$34.00. Short‑term incentive may be eligible. Benefits include medical, dental, paid time off and other competitive benefits available to eligible employees from day one.
