Follows procedures and SOPs to perform cleaning on production equipment to ensure safety, hygiene, and food safety. May record information to reflect sanitation activities and issues. Advises/updates supervisor or manager of progress and other non‑routine issues.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Follow established procedures in the cleaning and sanitation of idle production equipment.
- Complete required reporting to reflect activity.
- Advise supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
- Demonstrate familiarity with testing for chemical concentrations.
- Demonstrate familiarity with COP and CIP systems.
- Experience with refractometers is a plus.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements include:
- High school diploma or GED preferred; at least six months experience in a sanitation production environment preferred.
- Supervisory skills desired.
- Some Microsoft Office skills.
- Physical ability to work third shift, including the ability to ascend or descend stairs in multi‑level facilities.
- Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Basic English speaking, reading, and writing;
Spanish is a plus.
- Multi‑shift production operations may be expansive, noisy, wet/humid and vary in temperature from refrigerated to ambient or warm in summer months depending on facility.

CompensationStarting Pay:
Sanitation Lead I $21/hr, with a shift differential for 3rd shift. Base pay depends on location and experience. The position is eligible for discretionary annual incentive. Full‑time employees receive comprehensive benefits (health, dental, 401(k), wellness) starting on the 90th day of employment.
