2nd Shift Saw Operator

About the Job:

• Rate of Pay: $20.00 per hour (paid weekly).
• Overtime Rate:$30.00 per hour.

  Monday thru Friday; 3:45pm to 12:15am.
• Overtime available; paid breaks.

We build thermoforming machines from the ground up and each project starts with cutting steel for our welding and fabrication processes. You will see everything you cut turned into part of a world-class machine. We have five horizontal band saws that you'll be responsible to use, clean & maintain. In addition to forklifts we have a 10-ton overhead crane that will do the heavy lifting.

In time you'll have the opportunity to progress into other roles such as learning how to weld; we have trained and promoted numerous teammates from this position.

• Cutting steel tubes, angles, channel, I-Beams and flat bars.
• Cutting instructions and measurements are provided per blueprint cut lists.
• Ability to safely run up to three saws simultaneously.
• Accurate identification and material handling of steel to be cut.
• Proper usage and maintenance of equipment.
• Responsible for keeping saw area clean and organized.
• Additional responsibilities when caught up on saw work:
  • Preparing machines for paint.
  • Running a drill press.
  • Mechanical assembly of steel and aluminum components.

• Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/32 .
• Experience with Band Saws and Drill Presses is a plus.
• Experience with a sit-down Forklift and overhead Crane is a plus.
