Position: Fabrication Welder I

Rate of Pay: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour (paid weekly)

Overtime Rate: $31.50 to $34.50 per hour

Two Shifts available to choose from:

1st Shift

Schedule:

Monday thru Friday; 7:00am to 3:30pm.

2nd Shift

Schedule:

Monday thru Friday; 3:45pm to 12:15am.

Overtime always available; paid breaks.

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary tasks of the Fabrication Welder involve building machine frames and components out of structural steel, followed by tearing down completed machines to prepare for transport.

  • MIG welding and fabrication of machine frames and components that consist of light gauge sheet metal to heavy gauge tube, flat bar and I-Beam.
  • Fabricating industrial ovens, safety guarding, vacuum tanks, swing doors, fan brackets, catwalks.
  • Grinding and finishing completed products.
  • Perform quality checks on finished components.
  • Installing finished components into machine structures.
  • Disassembling machines for painting and shipping.
  • Material handling with sit-down forklifts and overhead cranes.

DESIRED

SKILLS:
  • Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/32".
  • MIG welding and/or fabrication experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints (or ability to learn).
  • Experience with saws, shears, drill presses, forklifts, and cranes are a plus.
