Older Adults Program Activities Coordinator at Outreach
Carol Stream to support the older adults living in south Carol Stream through social activities aimed at reducing isolation, encouraging mental stimulation, physical activity, and further education.

• $17 - $22/hour – based on education, experience, and language ability.

• The Part-time Older Adults Program Activities Coordinator is responsible for effectively engaging and developing relationships with older adults.
• The Part-time Older Adults Program Activities Coordinator develops and implements a range of social activities aimed at reducing isolation, encouraging mental stimulation, spiritual development, physical activity, creativity, and continuing education.
• The Part-time Older Adults Program Activities Coordinator advertises activities to apartment complexes in south Carol Stream, transports older adults, tracks participation and contributes to program reports.
• The Part-time Older Adults Program Activities Coordinator identifies at‑risk older adults and ensures they receive services.
• The Part-time Older Adults Program Activities Coordinator supports program growth and volunteer recruitment and retention efforts.
• The Activities Coordinator reports directly to the Older Adults Program Director and assists with interns’ supervision and volunteer recruitment.
• Schedule:
  
  Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-2:00PM;
  Two Fridays 9:00AM-3:00pm for luncheons. Average of 25‑27 hours/week.

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field with 3 years of related experience.
• Enthusiasm for engaging older adults, awareness, and sensitivity to the needs of this life stage.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• A valid IL driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to lift, move and carry event supplies (up to 25lbs).
• Commitment to Outreach’s Statement of Mission and Faith is required.
