Sr Quality Engineer

What you’ll do:

Eaton’s IS VEH EMB Automotive division is currently seeking a Sr Quality Engineer. The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $110,000 per year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

This position is responsible to ensure outbound quality of all products to meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations. This includes outbound inspection, first article & PPAP inspection approvals, segregation, identification, re‑work, and proper disposition of unacceptable or non‑conforming parts and materials. This position will also direct end‑of‑line inspections, ensure manufacturing and all supporting documentation is complete, and support quality engineering and testing functions daily.

Ensure the facility complies with IATF and ISO‑9001 certifications.

• Mange external corrective actions that are received from our customers.
• Provide internal communications pertaining to all customer corrective actions received.
• Mange customer concern notifications and coordinate internal actions to resolve customer concerns.
• Lead all customer requested audits including leading the audit, coordinating internally to meet the customer needs and expectations, communicating audit results internally, assigning owners to corrective actions identified during the audit.
• Manage First Article Inspection Requests including prioritization of First Article Inspection Requests, coordinating with external inspection providers as needed, maintaining visual management of FAIR tracking, generating PPAP submission packages, generating control plans that meet the expectations of the customer print, managing, disputing & generating all customer Returned Merchandise Authorizations.
• Statistical review of product data for issues, trends and improvements as needed.
• Travel as required to support and meet the needs of our customers.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• 2 years’ experience working in a Quality Engineering related support role within a manufacturing environment.

• Skills in analyzing quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Proficiency in using software tools for data analysis (e.g., Excel, Minitab).

• Automotive industry experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical data sheets, and schematics.
• Quality and Metrology knowledge.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and PDF reader (Word, Excel, Adobe/Firefox, Outlook, etc.).
• Communicate and interact with Engineering, Tool Room and Production as necessary to promote specification compliance.

• Must be able to work alone and on teams with good interpersonal and leadership qualities to get assigned tasks completed in a timely manner.
• Must possess effective and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess good organizational and prioritization skills to maintain and address multiple assigned projects and expectations.
