FSQA Manager
This is not a role for someone who manages quality from an office, or whose holds get negotiated away by the plant. At Korpack, the FSQA Manager reports to the CEO - deliberately outside the production chain - because we believe the person with hold-and-release authority should never answer to the people judged on output. Your call stands. That independence is rare, and we built it on purpose.
We run food-grade (SQF) co-packing for leading consumer brands - customers who audit hard and expect perfection - across two facilities, with a 200,000 sq ft expansion bringing us to 350,000 sq ft. You are the SQF practitioner, the food-safety conscience, and the quality standard for a company that is doubling. If accuracy and food safety are convictions for you rather than compliance tasks, keep reading.
Journey
Own the SQF Program
• Development, maintenance, certification audits, and day-to-day compliance across both facilities.
• HACCP plans, GMP practices, and audit-ready documentation - any day, unannounced.
Run the Corrective Action Engine
• CCARs and ICARs owned end to end: root cause, corrective action, verification, closure. Non-conformances trend down on your watch.
• Hold/release decisions made same-day, on evidence, with the authority to make them stick.
Lead the QA Team & the Culture
• LMA of QA Techs across three Madsen shifts and PR - coverage and consistency on every shift.
• Quality dashboards leadership trusts: holds, complaints, audit findings, first-pass quality.
• Partner with Receiving on inbound inspection standards - seals, infestation, damage - per SQF.
• SQF certification audits pass without drama; customer audits become a selling point
• Non-conformances and complaints trend down, and everyone can see it on the dashboard
• Holds happen fast, releases happen on evidence, and nobody works around you
• Quality is led from the floor - every shift, both buildings, temps included
Required
• 3+ years of quality leadership in food, beverage, or CPG manufacturing
• SQF Practitioner status; HACCP and PCQI certified (or able to certify quickly)
• Hands-on audit experience - SQF and customer audits, in the room, answering the questions
• Data-driven corrective-action discipline: KPIs, trending, verificationPreferred
• Co-packing experience; bilingual English/Spanish This is a full-time, on-site position based in Bloomingdale, IL, with regular presence at both facilities across shifts.
• Enforcing holds when production is behind and the pressure is real - your independence protects you; your evidence persuades
• Building food-safety culture across a temp-heavy, multi-shift workforce
• Being audit-ready every day of the year, not the week before the audit
$90,000-$115,000 plus performance bonus. Comprehensive health, dental, vision, life, and LTD benefits; 401(k) with company match; generous PTO. A direct line to the CEO, and a quality function designed so your professional judgment is final.

For those who want more than just a job, Korpack is on a mission to become North America's premier packaging solutions provider - and food safety is the license for all of it. If you're the kind of quality leader who walks the floor, holds the line, and builds the culture that makes holding it rare - we want to hear from you.
