We are seeking a highly skilled Armed Security Officer to protect client assets, ensure the safety of personnel, and maintain a secure environment at designated locations. This position requires vigilance, sound judgement under pressure, and strict adherence to all security protocols and regulations.

This role is considered safety-sensitive due to responsibilities involving public interaction, emergency response, and the authorized handling of firearms. Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, composure, and the ability to make responsible decisions in high-stress situations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to identify potential security risks or hazards
• Deter, detect, and respond to security threats or incidents professionally and appropriately
• Control access points and monitor premises to prevent unauthorized entry
• Provide emergency response including de-escalation, detainment support, or coordination with law enforcement when required
• Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation
• Interact with the public in a professional and respectful manner while enforcing site rules
• Coordinate with local law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Experience:
  
  Prior experience in Military Police, law enforcement, corrections, or comparable armed security roles required
• Licensing:
  Valid armed guard license where required by state law
• Legal authorization to carry and operate a firearm in accordance with applicable regulations
• Regulatory Compliance:
  Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local security and firearm regulations
• Schedule Flexibility:
  Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Post-Offer Employment Requirements

• Background investigation
• Drug screening
• Verification of credentials and licenses
• Role-related fitness-for-duty assessment conducted by a qualified third‑party professional
• Active PERC and FOID

These assessments are intended solely to determine an individual’s ability to safely and effectively perform the essential functions of the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active or recent federal security clearance
• Prior experience protecting federal or critical infrastructure sites
• Training in conflict resolution, crisis response, or security management

• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods

• Ability to lift or move objects up to 50lbs as needed
