Maintenance Technician

Position: MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Location: The Greenway at Carol Stream Apartments;
Carol Stream, IL

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday; Weekend availability required

Hourly Rate: $24.00 - $26.00, based on experience; $150/week on-call bonus

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1 - 3 years of high volume maintenance or related field
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to read blueprints and manuals
• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.; frequent walking, standing, climbing, crouching, kneeling, and reaching
• Basic computer skills for logging and tracking work orders

Preferred Qualifications

• HVAC certification and/or experience
• CPO license - or willing to obtain
• CAMT designation

The Greenway at Carol Stream Apartments is looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure our community continues to be a place residents are proud to call home.

In this role, you will work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor to ensure the property is beautiful, well-maintained, and operating smoothly.

What You'll Do:

• Perform general appliance, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical repairs
• Complete apartment turns and make-readies
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
• Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
• Promptly respond to service requests using our paperless system
• Maintain maintenance records and manage inventory
• Perform general carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and collaborate with vendors as needed
• Handle pool and grounds care daily
