Maintenance Technician

Overview

Marquette Management Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Carol Stream, IL. The maintenance position supports providing residents with a clean, well-maintained living environment. Responsibilities include general repairs to apartments and common areas, vacant apartment preparation, snow and trash removal, emergency repairs, cleaning, landscaping, ordering maintenance equipment and supplies, record keeping, accepting deliveries, moving appliances, and other related duties.

• Perform general repairs and preventive maintenance in apartments and common areas
• Prepare vacant units for new residents
• Respond to emergency repairs and perform after-hours on-call duties as needed
• Clean, landscape, and maintain grounds
• Order maintenance equipment and supplies; manage records and documentation
• Receive deliveries and move appliances as required
• Undertake other job-related duties as assigned

• Previous maintenance experience, preferably in the apartment or hotel industry
• Excellent customer service skills
• General computer knowledge
• Experience with plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and apartment turns
• HVAC or EPA Universal Certification is a plus
• Availability for on-call duties and the ability to work weekends when necessary is a plus

• Starting wage $21.33–$23.45/HR based on experience
