We are currently seeking an experienced Safety Specialist to join our trucking company in Chicago. This is an office-based position responsible for ensuring full compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations and maintaining the highest safety standards across our fleet.

Minimum 2 years of experience in the trucking industry is REQUIRED.

• Monitor and review driver ELD logs and Hours of Service (HOS) for compliance
• Ensure strict adherence to DOT and FMCSA regulations
• Conduct internal safety audits and violation reviews
• Manage accident and incident reports, including follow-up and documentation
• Maintain driver qualification files and safety records
• Oversee safety and insurance documentation
• Communicate with drivers regarding compliance issues and corrective actions
• Prepare detailed safety reports for management
• Track CSA scores and assist with audit preparation

• ✔ Minimum 2 years of safety/compliance experience in a trucking company (REQUIRED)
• ✔ Strong knowledge of DOT & FMCSA regulations
• ✔ Experience reviewing ELD logs and handling HOS violations
• ✔ Familiarity with safety audits and compliance procedures
• ✔ Excellent communication and organizational skills
• ✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• ✔ Ability to work in-office in Chicago

• Experience preparing for DOT audits
• Knowledge of safety management systems
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
